Position Post-doctoral researcher
(Research assistant professor*)
Lab Ago Laboratory, Global Innovation Center (GIC), Kyushu University, Japan
Details From September, 2022, we started a new MEXT project named "Science of 2.5 Dimensional Materials: Paradigm Shift of Materials Science Toward Future Social Innovation" (This is a Grant-in-Aid for Transformative Research Areas(A) of Minitisty of Education, Science, Sports, and Technology, Japan).

In this '2.5D mateirlas' project, our lab focuses on the science of 2D nanospace formed by layered materials, such as bilayer graphene, to develop a new synthetic method of novel functional materials and also to observe new phenomena and unique physical properties. We also perform the research on the synthesis of high-quality, large-area 2D materials, such as h-BN, TMDCs, and exotic materials, to other members in this project.

To develop this "2.5D project", we are seeking a top applicant who has a strong background in chemistry and/or materials science. In particular, an applicant who is familiar with TEM (and STEM) measurements is highly welcomed.
